Heal Thyself

Healing Thyself is a quantum approach of understanding our personal imbalances from a perspective that does not exclude all forces. I believe there is no limit to the internal and external relationship embodied in our healing paths as it pertains to our own dis-ease or dis-comfort. I have pondered the process of chronic pain, acute pain, terminal illness, genetic disorders, environmental disease, mental disorders, and any other classified/unclassified illness that gives rise to an uncomfortable state of existence. Our human experience is a personal journey and a discovery. In my younger years, I felt compelled and empowered to heal people. My thoughts were "No one- who is using alternative methods would get sick. It just isn't possible." How naive I was and for that I am grateful. The awakening came when my herbology teacher, who was also a trained MD/ND naturopath got cancer. She taught us about the healing powers of plants and flowers while guiding us on herb walks in our local region and then taught us how to incorporate them into medicine. We made poultices, compresses, flower essences herbal remedies, balms, salves, and herbal teas. The apothecary was endless and the resource phenomenal. Her intelligence sparked my own and I was captivated. I lived in Morro Bay at the time and the school was in Los Osos, California. It was a beautiful setting that I will always cherish. I learned volumes from her. She survived the cancer, but it was a turning point in my lens of healing. I was now growing up and with that growing always comes a deeper understanding.  I have been envisioning creating a group of four different essential oil blends to be used interchangeably, individually or in a cycle. Their purpose empowers self healing, because no one knows better than you what you are seeking. You don't have to be sick or injured to work with these oils. They are an addition to any wellness tool kit. I must impart however that they are not a substitute for medical attention but a companion to uncovering the origins of the cause. It is one thing to have a stomach ache from a virus for a few days, or a cough from a common cold. It is another if you have daily stomach aches and/or perpetual headaches or occurring viruses. Aromatherapy is a powerful ally in discovery to health issues and guidance. Plants have extraordinary senses. They know how to detect illness, ward off predators, regenerate growth, and communicate with one another. Think of yourself in the same way. Taking it one step further. Create a relationship with these blends and their profiles knowing that you are integrating plant intelligence, with your own wisdom resulting in a combined effect.

Below I have listed a simplified version of each blend. Click on the name of the blend and it will take you directly to the product page.
Rest

We have to give ourselves permission to rest. During relaxing and restful periods the extraneous blocks melt away and tension can no longer exist. Our innate wisdom is engaged subconsciously. Rest is a blend that takes us to this place. Organic, wildcrafted, non-sprayed essential oils of Bergamot (Citrus bergamia), Cedarwood (Juniperus virginiana), Orange (Citrus sinensis), Myrtle (Myrtus communis), Lavender (Lavandula spp.), Frankincense (Boswellia carterii), Roman Chamomile (Anthemis nobilis), & Blue Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) in organic jojoba oil.

Sometimes we find ourselves searching for relief. Somebody stop this annoying pain! Please!! I beg of you! "Chopra argues that everything that happens in the mind and brain is physically represented elsewhere in the body, with mental states (thoughts, feelings, perceptions and memories) directly influencing physiology by means of neurotransmitters such as dopamine, oxytocin and serotonin. He has stated, "Your mind, your body and your consciousness – which is your spirit – and your social interactions, your personal relationships, your environment, how you deal with the environment, and your biology are all inextricably woven into a single process … By influencing one, you influence everything."[85]
